If you're looking for pulque, this is THE place to go! There are multiple floors, and each floor has different flavors! So make sure you check every floor for all the flavors they have to offer at that time. During our trip, some of the flavors we tried were grape, insurgentes, natural (aka plain), strawberries & cream, and mango. My favorite of the bunch was strawberries & cream! You really can't go wrong with any of the flavors - they're all (not too) sweetly flavored and have that fermented taste. Kinda like kombucha but milkier and fluffier. We stopped by here twice during our short trip. Highly recommend!

this is not a fancy place at all, but their pulque flavors are so good! theyre cheap. if you sit at a table they will come over for service. theres a dj blasting jams during the day. i really liked the mango and passionfruit flavors. keep in mind, its not a strong drink but tasty here. i totally forgot they had a rooftop, pretty pissed i didnt check it out. guess i gotta come back! overall place is clean, has a dive feel, but plays good music.

Visited CDMX for a month, and Los Insurgentes was the best spot for Pulque! Loved coming here for all the different flavors of Pulque, mezcal, and different floors for dancing. The DJ on the top floor played a mix of reggaeton, while the bottom floor was more electronic. Los Insurgentes has a great vibe to it, there are many locals as well as expats who come to hang out. The service was great but didn't let us bring water bottles in so make sure you drink everything before coming.

They house make four types of pulque. The original was good too but I really liked the pine nut one. Other people also had food. It looked like a hole in the wall and super cool. Totally would go again for pulque!

A fun bar to try some pulque! We heard about pulque, a fermented, alcoholic drink made from agave plants as being a specialty around these parts. Thanks to Yelp, Pulqueria Los Insurgentes is the best place for it in Mexico City. We visited on a Wednesday night and the place was pretty busy even during a weekday. Soon after we arrived, most of the tables on the roof terrace was taken, as the live band was setting up to play. The crowd seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists. Our server allowed us to try all the different pulque flavors first before ordering a pint, which was helpful. The pulque was good, even the unflavored one. You can taste the fermentation, which is a similar taste to kombucha, but has more of a cloudy texture. I highly recommend anyone visiting CDMX to try pulque. And it's light in alcohol, so you're not gonna get wasted after a glass, you lush! In addition to pulque they have a full food menu. On Wednesdays we learned it was jazz night, which is a popular spot for couples. But the bouncer told us that on Friday nights, it's where to be, as all the rooms have a DJ and everyone is dancing. The building that Pulqueria Los Insurgentes is in reminded me of going to a house party in college, with different stories and rooms of dark lighting and people just hanging out. I had a blast here! Glad to try pulque for the first time in such a hip spot.

A great way to introduce oneself to pulque. I frequented this place a bit and was never disappointed. Of course, all I did was drink their pulque. Blackberry and cheese was my favorite.
